Key Responsibilities
- Process Design & Optimization: Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, and storage strategies to improve efficiency and throughput
- Analyze distribution processes (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping) and implement improvements
- Develop and maintain standard work and process documentation
- Identify, evaluate, and implement automation solutions (e.g., conveyors, sortation systems, AGV’s, and fixed and mobile robotic systems)
- Lead automation-related projects from concept through implementation
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful deployment of automated systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing manual touches, cycle time, and errors
- Utilize data to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance (throughput, accuracy, productivity)
- Support capacity planning and labor optimization efforts
- Collaborate with IT and Supply Chain teams to optimize Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality
- Ensure alignment and integration between WMS, ERP, and automation systems
- Experience with Oracle ERP preferred
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth product flow from production to distribution
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by designing scalable distribution processes
- Provide on-the-floor support to troubleshoot operational issues and drive resolution
Minimum Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in distribution, warehouse operations, or manufacturing engineering
- Experience designing or improving warehouse processes and material flow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions
