About the Opportunity The organization is seeking a Senior Director, Technology to serve as the senior technology leader, shaping and executing the organizational technology vision and strategy. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role provides strategic leadership across technology strategy, systems and security, artificial intelligence governance, organizational technology adoption, and technology operations. Leading a small technology team, the Senior Director, Technology will architect the technology ecosystem, ensuring investments are secure, scalable, sustainable, and effectively adopted across the organization. This leader will translate technology investments into everyday practices, mentor emerging talent, and bridge technical solutions with organizational strategy and culture. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmaps that align information technology strategy with organizational priorities, scalability, and long-term sustainability.Lead technology transformation, modernization, and systems change initiatives across the organization, managing change, driving adoption, and ensuring staff readiness.Establish and govern frameworks, standards, and policies for responsible artificial intelligence adoption, data protection, cybersecurity, and organizational risk management.Oversee technology vendors, external partners, technology investments, and budgets while maximizing value and ensuring quality service delivery.Translate complex technical concepts and strategic decisions into clear, compelling language for non-technical leaders and stakeholders.Manage and develop a high-performing technology team, supporting professional growth and fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.Ensure technical solutions align with organizational strategy, priorities, and operational needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.10+ years of progressive experience in technology, IT, enterprise systems, digital transformation, or related areas.Demonstrated experience developing and executing technology strategy and multi-year roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities.Proven track record leading technology transformation, modernization, or systems change across an organization, including successful change management and adoption.Experience leading artificial intelligence enablement, adoption, or governance within an organization, with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and translate them into responsible organizational use.Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, enterprise systems, technology risk, and governance, with the ability to provide strategic oversight.Experience developing and governing organizational technology policies and standards, including responsible AI use, data governance, and technology risk.Experience overseeing technology vendors, external partners, technology investments, and budgets.Proven ability to manage IT teams with a track record of supporting professional development and driving performance. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $127,487 to $172,483 per year.The standard starting salary is $149,985 per year based on meeting the minimum requirement of 10 years of relevant experience. Work Location and Travel This is a full-time, remote position based from a home office located anywhere within the United States.Limited national travel is required for organization retreats, programming, job-related travel, donor meetings, or professional development.
