About the role

A&M is a global consulting firm focusing on improving operating results for private equity firms. The PEPI Supply Chain group assists clients in supply chain transformation, network optimization, and strategic sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s supply chain, including manufacturing and distribution locations, product flow, and operating costs.
  • Develop a structured approach to assessing potential improvement opportunities and conduct required analysis to define supply chain strategies and tactics.
  • Analyze supply chain network design and optimize cost, inventory, and service delivery using modeling software like Llamasoft.
  • Lead sourcing events for transportation and warehousing, including spend assessments, process requirements, and RFI/RFP processes.
  • Assess inventory planning processes and recommend improvements to optimize service levels and inventory working capital.
  • Develop and implement transformation plans for transportation, warehousing, and distribution, and oversee the quality of deliverables.
  • Manage teams and relationships to ensure exceptional performance and deliver projects on time and on quality.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience, preferably in Supply Chain/Distribution and Logistics.
  • Experience in distribution and logistics analysis/advisory within industry, consulting, or 3PL environment.
  • Deep functional expertise in areas such as distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, and 3PL operating experience.
  • Experience in leading or modeling supply chains using software support tools (e.g., Llamasoft).
  • Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to conduct and lead analysis, and flexibility to travel based on project requirements.

  • Strong written, oral, and analytical skills, with strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Structured project management skills, including time, team, and work-stream management.
  • Initiative and drive, critical thinking, and ability to deliver time-pressured projects.
  • Flexible and creative thinking, client relationship building, and excellent presentation skills.

Benefits

The salary range is $175,000--$250,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program and a 401(k)-retirement plan. Employees are also eligible for paid time off, including vacation, personal days, sick time, and parental leave.
