About the role

Twenty-Six Defense, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, is a leading provider of high-performance products, system solutions, and aftermarket support services focusing on the defense, homeland security, and commercial aviation markets. With facilities throughout the U.S., Twenty-Six Defense supports those who contribute to the national security of the United States. Twenty-Six Defense is wholly owned by Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT and TASE: ESLT), a global high-technology company engaged in a wide range of programs for innovative defense and commercial applications.

The Sr. Director, Supply Chain (Electronic Systems) provides strategic leadership and governance across Material Program Management (MPM), Procurement, Materials & Logistics, and Planning. The role establishes the operating cadence, policies, and enabling systems that ensure material availability, cost, inventory, and schedule performance. The Sr. Director ensures a single voice to suppliers through Procurement, sustains schedule integrity as the plan of record through MPS, and empowers MPM as the single point of accountability for material outcomes. This position leads a multi-site team (~50+) and partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to meet customer and business commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and mature the Material Operating Model across Electronic Systems; maintain role clarity and separation of duties (MPM owns material outcomes; MPS owns the production plan; Procurement owns the supplier; Planners and Production Planners execute; Materials & Logistics owns physical flow).
  • Establish governance cadences: Daily shortage control, Weekly risk review, Monthly EAC, and formal Program Reviews; ensure actions and decisions follow the published RACI.
  • Own divisional supply chain strategy and policy (commodity strategies, LTA framework, supplier segmentation, dual-sourcing, and cost roadmap) while ensuring Procurement is the single execution voice to suppliers for commercial matters.
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures are trained to and followed as part of broader Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) by DCMA and procurement excellence.
  • Lead MPM to deliver material availability, inventory health (DRIOH, turns, E&O), and program EAC; empower tradeoff decisions and prioritization.
  • Lead MPS to sustain schedule integrity and feasibility; protect the plan-of-record and drive finite scheduling discipline.
  • Drive Planning excellence (MRP data quality, demand translation, PO maintenance, commit alignment) and Production Planning (WO release and shop-floor sequencing).
  • Institutionalize shortage prevention and recovery (tiered escalation, expedite standards, recovery planning) and reduce firefighting through proactive constraint identification.
  • Oversee Materials & Logistics performance (inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, material movement, kitting, shipping).
  • Sponsor Supplier Quality problem-solving (SCARs, containment, corrective actions) with SQE ownership of technical compliance.
  • Align cross-functional decision-making with Finance for EAC validation, PPV governance, and cost reduction portfolio delivery.
  • Develop leaders and talent pipelines; set standards for behaviors, escalation hygiene, and decision rights.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Aerospace & Defense supply chain leading multi-site teams and large-scale transformations.
  • Undergraduate degree in operations or business, or military service leading people (most qualified candidates).
  • MBA preferred, or demonstrable business acumen and leadership.
  • Expertise in S&OP/MPS, MRP/ERP discipline, commodity strategy, contract negotiations (FAR/DFAR), and lean materials flow.
  • Demonstrated success implementing RACI-based governance and operating norms.

Skills

  • Executive leadership; role clarity and decision-rights management.
  • Data-driven operations management; KPI design, dashboards, and action reviews.
  • Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency; schedule and demand integrity; PO management.
  • Supplier development and quality collaboration; SCAR leadership.

Schedule

  • Primarily on-site position (no less than 3x per week) at the Marine Creek facility.
  • Frequent travel to suppliers, customers, and company sites; periodic international travel (~2x per year).
  • Estimated 25% total travel; business requirements will dictate travel needs.
  • Most locations offer a 9/80 schedule, providing every other Friday off.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation & 401(k) program
  • Robust medical, dental, vision, & disability coverage with qualified wellness discounts
  • Basic Life Insurance and Additional Life & AD&D Insurances available
  • Flexible Vacation & PTO
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Generous Employee Referral Program
