Senior Director, Supply Chain

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Supply Chain to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This leader will oversee end-to-end sourcing and materials strategy across a complex, global manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for building strong enterprise-wide operating models and governance while aligning supply chain execution to business goals. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders across multiple sites to improve cost, delivery, quality, risk management, and working capital performance.

Location: Radford, VA – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the end-to-end sourcing and materials strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Lead and develop a global organization spanning strategic sourcing, direct materials, and supplier development.
• Establish operating models, governance, and accountability across businesses.
• Develop and deploy enterprise commodity strategies for cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance management.
• Drive standardized materials planning and inventory management practices across sites.
• Act as a strategic advisor on supply chain risks and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sourcing, materials, or supply chain within complex, global manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-site, multi-business organizations with senior-level leadership accountability.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, materials planning, inventory optimization, and supplier management.
• Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in cost, delivery, quality, and working capital.
