Senior Director, SoC Power and Clocking Technology
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SoC (System-on-Chip) Engineering Leader to direct a diverse team delivering Architecture and Verified Designs for Power and Clocking. As a Technology Team Lead over SoC Power and Clocking, you will be accountable for gathering requirements, prototyping, and developing the SOC Level clock, reset, power, and thermal management architecture to ensure the efficient and effective use of system resources. You will resolve complex issues throughout the development lifecycle from architectural exploration through to implementation and post-silicon bring-up.
You will collaborate with partners, OEMs, and internal software teams, directing the efforts of a global multi-functional team to identify, prioritize, and resolve SOC and platform-level challenges. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering high-quality, power-efficient SOC products to the market.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of SOC-level clock, reset, power, and thermal management solutions.
- Gather and synthesize diverse sets of requirements into optimized solutions.
- Resolve complex technical issues across the development lifecycle, from architectural exploration to post-silicon bring-up.
- Collaborate with partners, OEMs, and internal software teams to address SOC and platform-level challenges.
- Direct and manage a global, multi-functional team to deliver high-quality, power-efficient SOC products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 20+ years of experience in SoC architecture and Hardware (HW) design.
- 5+ years of experience specifically architecting, developing, and delivering clock, reset, power, and thermal solutions.
- Strong leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and manage a global, multi-functional team.
Skills
- Power, Thermal, and Electrical Limits management solutions.
- DVFS (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling), Power Gating, Voltage Regulation.
- Digital Clocking, Reset.
- Standards such as ARM Power Control System Architecture (PCSA), System Control and Management Interface (SCMI), ACPI, and BSA.
- Processor low power states.
- Use-Case power and Performance modeling or Analysis.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience architecting or developing ARM or x86-based laptop products at SOC and system/platform level.
- Experience in Automotive, IoT, Infrastructure, or mobile SOC and board-level power and power delivery.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements.
- Proven track record of timely, to-specification delivery of multiple sophisticated projects in parallel.

Pay
Salary Range: $382,500-$517,500 per year.
