Senior Director, Security Engineering
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose.
We must include a section only when posting has real specific content. Avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". We have specific content for many sections.
We need to decide which sections to include: About the role? The posting includes a description of company and mission; but not exactly "About the role". Could treat the introductory paragraph as "About the role" or maybe "About Iterable". However the instruction: use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can choose headings that match content.
We have sections: "How you’ll make a difference" (could be About the role). "What You’ll Do" (Responsibilities). "What We’re Looking For" (Requirements/Qualifications). "Success in the First 12 Months" (maybe Goals). "Iterable Values Model" (maybe Culture/Values). "Perks & Benefits" (Benefits). Pay: we have salary range. Schedule: not mentioned, so omit.
We must not include headings with filler. So we will include sections where we have content.
We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all bullet points etc.
We need to format lists with - . For prose, use
.
We must remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning, duplicated lines, application instructions. The posting includes a recruitment disclaimer about scam warnings, EEO statement, etc. We must remove those.
We must also remove duplicated lines (like repeated sentences). We'll need to parse.
Let's extract substantive content:
Company description paragraph: "Iterable is the AI customer engagement platform, built for enterprise scale, loved by teams, and trusted by global brands like Redfin, SeatGeek, Priceline, Calm, and Box. Our platform empowers organizations to activate customer data from any source, design seamless cross-channel experiences, and optimize engagement with Nova Intelligence, the AI layer of our platform, all with enterprise-grade security and compliance. Today, nearly 1,200 brands across 50+ countries rely on Iterable to drive growth, deepen customer relationships, and deliver joyful customer experiences. Our success is powered by extraordinary people who bring our core values to life every day: Be an Owner, Growth Mindset, Run as One, and Transparency. And the market has noticed: G2 recognizes Iterable as a Leader globally, spanning the Americas, EMEA, APAC, ANZ, and Latin America, with category leadership in Personalization, Marketing Automation, Push Notifications, and Mobile Marketing, and a 4.5/5-star rating from hundreds of users. Gartner named Iterable a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Multichannel Marketing in both 2024 and 2025. We’ve also earned TrustRadius Top Rated honors in 2024 and 2025, were named a TrustRadius Buyer’s Choice for 2026, and were featured in Snowflake’s Modern Marketing Data Stack 2026. With a global presence that includes offices in San Francisco, Denver, London, Sydney, and Lisbon, plus remote employees worldwide, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage you to apply. Learn more about our story and mission on our Culture and About Us pages. Let’s shape the future of customer engagement together!"
That's company overview; could be placed under "About Iterable" or maybe not needed as a section. The instruction says we can include sections only when posting has real specific content. This is specific content about company; we could put under
About Iterable
but the example headings list didn't include About Iterable, but we can still use About the role? Might be okay to use About the role as heading for this overview. However "About the role" usually describes the role, not company. But we could treat it as "About Iterable". The instruction says use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but suggests those as examples. Safer to stick to those examples. So we could put company overview under "About the role"? Might be a stretch but acceptable. Alternatively we could omit company overview entirely? But we must preserve ALL substantive information; cannot omit. So we need to include it somewhere. Could put it under a About the role
as a description of the role context. That seems okay.
Next: "How you’ll make a difference:" paragraph: "Customers trust Iterable with sensitive information. Security Engineering protects that trust by partnering across the company to build secure products, infrastructure, and systems. We embed security architecture into how Engineering develops and launches features, using automation to scale protection, resilience, and assurance. Reporting to the CISO, the Senior Director, Security Engineering owns the strategy, organization, and execution of Iterable’s technical security portfolio, including Product Security, Platform Security, Application Security, Detection and Response, vulnerability management, automation, and incident readiness. This leader will help build an AI-forward Security organization by using AI to improve security technology, team leverage, decision-making, and operational scale. The role requires strong organizational leadership: creating focus, setting clear priorities, establishing accountability, and turning strong talent into predictable delivery."
That's prose; could be under About the role or separate. We'll keep under About the role maybe after company overview.
Then "What You’ll Do" list: bullet points each starting with a verb. We'll make - .
Then "What We’re Looking For" list: bullet points.
Then "Success in the First 12 Months" list.
Then "Iterable Values Model": includes description of values with bullet-like sentences? Actually it's a paragraph describing each value: "Run As One: Anchor work in shared company outcomes, clarify the end state, and commit to decisions.Be An Owner: Own outcomes, address problems directly, and use company resources wisely.Transparency: Share early, communicate clearly, own mistakes, and challenge directly with empathy.Growth Mindset: Challenge the status quo, learn quickly, and continuously raise the bar." This is a list of values with explanations. Could format as
- each value.
Then "Perks & Benefits:" list of benefits.
Then Pay: salary range paragraph.
We must not include Schedule.
We must remove recruitment disclaimer, EEO, scam warning, etc.

We need to ensure we don't include any markdown fences.
