Senior Director, Product, Security and Privacy

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Product, Security and Privacy to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This senior legal leadership role will partner closely with product and engineering teams to help shape offerings from concept through launch. The focus is on enabling innovation while managing legal, privacy, security, and open-source risk across the product development lifecycle. You will also help build scalable frameworks that support product-led go-to-market initiatives and align legal guidance with technical and commercial priorities. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $260,000 – $300,000 annually Responsibilities Act as the primary legal partner for product and engineering teams across the company's offerings Advise on legal matters throughout the product development lifecycle Review and shape product requirements and specifications to help manage legal risk Guide the use of open-source software, contributions, and licensing models Provide advice on privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR and CCPA Support product-led go-to-market initiatives and develop scalable legal frameworks Monitor emerging laws affecting technology products and propose mitigation strategies Qualifications JD or equivalent law degree; licensed and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction 10+ years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on product, technology, or commercial matters Experience with enterprise software, cloud services, or developer-focused products Strong knowledge of software licensing and SaaS models, open-source licensing, and privacy frameworks Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off, including certain leaves of absence Eligibility for stock option grants and annual bonuses Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
