About the role

The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, development, launch, and lifecycle management of pharmacy technology solutions. This role serves as the business owner for one or more strategic product domains within the pharmacy platform, partnering across Product, Technology, Operations, Clinical, Sales, Marketing, and Client Success teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive client value and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep market, customer, and competitive insights to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and market needs.
  • Define target markets, customer personas, and problem statements that guide product investment decisions.
  • Establish product vision, mission, strategic objectives, and multi-year roadmap plans.
  • Lead build, buy, partner, and enhancement decisions to maximize market impact and return on investment.
  • Create and maintain business cases, including market sizing, financial analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and success metrics.
  • Define and track product KPIs and business outcomes to measure product performance and value realization.
  • Partner with UX, Technology, and Operations teams to design intuitive and scalable product experiences.
  • Ensure solutions address regulatory, operational, and client requirements within the pharmacy ecosystem.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Client Success teams to develop positioning, messaging, and commercialization strategies.
  • Support sales opportunities through client presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, and executive discussions.
  • Collaborate with Pricing and Finance teams to develop pricing strategies and packaging models.
  • Create and deliver internal and external product training programs.
  • Monitor product performance, adoption, client satisfaction, and financial results.
  • Evaluate market trends, client feedback, and competitive developments to inform future roadmap investments.
  • Manage product enhancements, lifecycle planning, and sunset strategies where appropriate.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across assigned product domains.
  • Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Client Success.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and performance to executive leadership.
  • Mentor and develop product management talent as assigned.
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Technology, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with experience leading complex healthcare or pharmacy technology products.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit management (PBM), healthcare technology, payer operations, clinical programs, digital health, or healthcare analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing product strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and business case development skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence across cross-functional teams and executive audiences.
  • Experience supporting sales processes, client engagements, and go-to-market initiatives.

Pay

  • New York: $175,000 to $220,000 per year.
  • Massachusetts: $175,000 to $220,000 per year.
