Senior Director, Product and Platform Security

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Product and Platform Security to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This leader will shape the security strategy across product development and platform services, ensuring secure-by-design practices are embedded from the start. The role will partner closely with product and engineering leadership to reduce risk while improving developer experience and delivery speed. It will also guide offensive security, vulnerability management, and the extension of security practices into hardware-related product areas. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $275,000 – $440,000 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to integrate security into product development Oversee shared services and secure defaults for product teams Manage application and cloud security programs, including secure development and vulnerability management Improve developer experience through security tools and training Lead offensive security initiatives through red teaming and vulnerability assessments Extend security practices to cover hardware as part of product security Guide and develop the existing security team while planning for future growth Qualifications 5-7 years managing a multi-team security engineering organization Expertise in cloud security, especially with infrastructure as code and CI/CD Proven experience reducing developer friction while enhancing security coverage Respected peer among senior engineering leadership Strong judgment on automation and security priorities Background in engineering or software development, preferably within a SaaS/cloud context Benefits Flexible work arrangements accommodating hybrid models Comprehensive benefits package promoting a healthy lifestyle Access to AI tools to enhance productivity across disciplines Commitment to employee development and learning Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
