About the role

As we embark on a multi-year global transformation journey, we're looking for an experienced communications leader to shape our enterprise narrative, drive organizational change, and help our people navigate the future with clarity, confidence and purpose. This is a high-impact global leadership role where you'll partner with senior executives to develop and deliver strategic communications and change management initiatives that align leaders, engage employees, and strengthen our external voice.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategic narrative that supports Zurich Cover-More's global transformation journey, ensuring alignment with our vision, priorities and business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate complex business change into clear, compelling and engaging communications.
  • Design and deliver enterprise-wide communication and change management strategies that drive understanding, adoption and measurable business outcomes.
  • Oversee integrated communication plans, roadmaps and calendars, ensuring messaging is coordinated, sequenced effectively and aligned to the broader transformation agenda.
  • Create and refine high-quality communications content, including leadership messaging, strategic updates and change communications.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Brand and key stakeholders to ensure a consistent voice across internal and external communications.
  • Advise and prepare senior leaders for high-profile communications, media engagement and critical business moments.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve communication effectiveness, efficiency and scale.
  • Build and lead a high-performing communications team, developing capability and creating an environment where people can thrive.
  • Strengthen organizational change capability by introducing frameworks, best practices and ways of working that support successful transformation.
  • Monitor industry developments, emerging risks and external trends to inform proactive communication strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving alignment across a global organization.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in strategic communications within large, complex organizations, ideally operating through significant transformation.
  • Proven track record of leading communication and change strategies for large-scale, multi-year transformation programs.
  • Highly skilled at building credibility with executive stakeholders and influencing at the most senior levels.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to craft compelling narratives from complex information.
  • Strong change management expertise and a history of delivering measurable adoption and engagement outcomes.
  • Outstanding project management skills and a passion for using AI-enabled tools and innovative approaches to enhance communications delivery.
  • Experience working across global, matrixed organizations and collaborating with stakeholders across different regions and cultures.
  • At least 12 years' experience in strategic communications, preferably within financial services or another highly regulated industry.

Pay

The proposed base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000. Compensation may also include short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases.
