About the role
The Senior Director of Stewardship, Annual Giving & Advancement Services provides strategic and operational leadership for donor stewardship, annual giving, advancement services, and fundraising infrastructure at Bronson Health Foundation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the Foundation’s comprehensive donor stewardship strategy, ensuring timely, meaningful, and personalized acknowledgment and recognition practices across all giving levels.
- Design and implement scalable stewardship programs that strengthen donor retention, engagement, and upgrade opportunities.
- Oversee development of donor impact reports, stewardship communications, and recognition initiatives that demonstrate measurable outcomes and mission impact.
- Partner with Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Corporate Philanthropy, and Events teams to align stewardship with fundraising and relationship strategies.
- Ensure stewardship activities reflect organizational values, donor accountability, and reputational excellence.
- Provide strategic oversight for annual giving programs including direct mail, digital fundraising, employee giving, grateful patient engagement, and mid-level donor initiatives.
- Develop and execute multi-channel fundraising strategies designed to increase donor participation, revenue growth, and pipeline development for major and planned giving.
- Implement segmentation and donor journey strategies to improve engagement and campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor fundraising performance metrics and use analytics to guide continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to develop compelling donor messaging and campaigns.
- Oversee advancement services operations including CRM strategy, gift processing coordination, reporting, prospect data, and fundraising analytics.
- Establish and maintain strong data governance standards, reporting protocols, and operational workflows to ensure data integrity and usability.
- Develop dashboards and executive-level reporting tools that provide visibility into fundraising performance, donor engagement, and campaign progress.
- Evaluate and optimize systems and technologies that support efficient and scalable fundraising operations.
- Ensure organizational readiness for campaign reporting, donor segmentation, and pipeline management.
- Serve as a strategic leader within Bronson Health Foundation, contributing to organizational planning, fundraising strategy, and operational excellence.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across stewardship, annual giving, and advancement services functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Finance, Clinical leadership, Compliance, Information Technology, and Communications to support alignment and operational effectiveness.
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and measurable outcomes across areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field.
- 10–15+ years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising operations, stewardship, annual giving, advancement services, or philanthropy leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-functional teams and developing scalable fundraising systems and donor engagement programs.
- Strong understanding of donor stewardship, annual giving strategy, CRM systems, and fundraising analytics.
- Experience preparing executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
Preferred
- Healthcare philanthropy or large institutional fundraising experience.
- Experience supporting or leading a comprehensive fundraising campaign.
- Advanced knowledge of fundraising databases, CRM systems, and donor analytics tools.
- Familiarity with donor compliance standards, reporting practices, and philanthropic accountability.
