Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall research and grant activities at the institution
- Administer all functions of the Sponsored Projects Office (SPO)
- Lead proposal preparation and negotiate major project awards
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in SPO operations
- Supervise and develop the SPO staff capabilities
- Manage external partnerships and funding structures
Qualifications
- Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
- 12 - 15 years of experience in research and sponsored projects administration
- Minimum five years of experience in contract and award negotiations
- Proven staff supervision experience
- Strong knowledge of funding agency policies and federal regulations related to research
