Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall research and grant activities at the institution
  • Administer all functions of the Sponsored Projects Office (SPO)
  • Lead proposal preparation and negotiate major project awards
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in SPO operations
  • Supervise and develop the SPO staff capabilities
  • Manage external partnerships and funding structures

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
  • 12 - 15 years of experience in research and sponsored projects administration
  • Minimum five years of experience in contract and award negotiations
  • Proven staff supervision experience
  • Strong knowledge of funding agency policies and federal regulations related to research
