Senior Director of Product Marketing
About ProShop
ProShop ERP is the system of execution built exclusively for precision machine shops. Trusted by more than 700 manufacturers across aerospace, defense, medical, and energy, ProShop helps shops capture institutional knowledge, uphold compliance on the floor, and run more predictably — without depending on who happens to be there.
Our mission: We empower manufacturers with software grounded in deep industry insight to unlock the full potential of their business and strengthen the communities they serve. Core values: Win Together, Lead with Care, Embrace the Pace, and Say It, Do It.
About the Role
ProShop rebuilt its product on AI instead of bolting it on, launching Chip — an AI that learns how a shop runs and makes that knowledge available to everyone on the floor. This created a portfolio spanning execution, intelligence, and compliance, positioning us to define a new category in the market.
As Senior Director of Product Marketing, you’ll own product marketing end-to-end: launches, naming, packaging, positioning, competitive intelligence, win-loss analysis, and customer research. You’ll define the language the entire company uses — what we call things, what we claim they do, and why shop owners should care. Your work will directly shape how Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success engage with the market.
This is a builder role. As the first and most senior product marketer, you’ll shape the function, operating rhythm, and strategic direction. The ideal candidate combines sharp strategic instincts with strong execution and a data-driven mindset. Our buyers are experienced shop owners and operations leaders who can spot vendor language instantly, so clarity and authenticity are essential.
Experience in, or marketing to, machine shops, manufacturers, or other technical, regulated industries is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch: Set the launch strategy and tiering model for everything we ship, from full category launches to release notes, and orchestrate cross-functional execution with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Naming & Packaging: Own the product vocabulary, including how new capabilities are named, bundled, and packaged. Partner on pricing and manage change introduction to existing customers without creating confusion.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Lead our automated intelligence practice, covering competitor monitoring, win/loss analysis, and sales battlecards. Feed insights back into marketing and product strategies.
- Win-Loss & Customer Research: Partner with Product on first-party research and early-access customer cohorts to gather market insights. Translate customer feedback into positioning, published evidence, and product influence.
- Positioning & Messaging: Own portfolio-level positioning, value identification, and messaging for ProShop and Chip (our AI product). Ensure consistency from the website to demos to renewal conversations.
- Enablement Content & Narrative: Develop the strategic narrative and GTM content, including demo framing, objection handling, and proof points. Define what’s true and why it matters; partner with GTM Enablement on delivery and certification.
- AI as Operating Leverage: Integrate AI into daily operations across research, drafting, competitive monitoring, call analysis, and reporting to scale output as a team of one.
- Measurement & Impact: Define metrics tying product marketing to pipeline and revenue, such as launch performance, win rates against competitors, and message adoption in the field. Report on performance and insights.
Requirements
- 10+ years in B2B SaaS product marketing, with at least 3 years leading the function or a major portfolio.

- Player-coach experience: you’ve shipped launches, decks, and positioning hands-on.
- Proven ability to own and scale a product marketing function, building the practice from the ground up.
- Strong command of B2B buyer journeys, personas, and value-based messaging, with the ability to translate technical products into business outcomes.

- Comfort driving pricing and packaging decisions.
