About the role
The Senior Director of Legal and Compliance will lead the legal and compliance functions for our Seattle office. This role will be responsible for ensuring all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and providing strategic guidance on legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures
- Manage legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Provide legal advice and counsel to senior management on compliance issues
- Lead the legal department in contract review and negotiation
- Ensure all business activities comply with local, state, and federal laws
- Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law or related field
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Minimum 10 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in tech or similar industries
- Proven track record of successfully managing legal teams and projects
- Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 annually
