For our client, a leader in the Healthcare space, we are seeking a Senior Director of Information Risk & Governance to provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. This role partners with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the information-security risk register and governance programs
  • Facilitate risk-balanced business prioritization with a focus on revenue impact
  • Oversee the AI governance program in collaboration with the Compliance & Privacy Officer
  • Manage the company's incident management program and establish unified protocols for incident response
  • Drive data governance on security aspects, ensuring compliance with retention and deletion protocols
  • Support certification and assurance programs by providing second-line governance and risk escalation assistance
  • Lead the vendor risk management program, establishing assessment standards and review criteria

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in information-security risk management or security governance with a focus on regulated environments
  • Digital health or healthcare services experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HITRUST, and HIPAA
  • Security in a governance role
  • Deep knowledge of the HIPAA Security Rule and NIST CSF 2.0 is essential; familiarity with AI governance is a plus
  • Strong judgment in risk decisions balancing technical assets and enterprise risk priorities
  • Proven ability to translate technical issues into business-ready language for executives and auditors

Pay

$231,300 – $272,100 annually
