Senior Director of Dining Services

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day foodservice operations for a 120-bed hospital with a retail café on-site
• Manage and lead a team of 35 employees and 2 salaried managers
• Manage client relationships, profitability of the account, and talent development
• Operate the department in accordance with the approved budget while providing the client with maximum value for the dollars spent
• Ensure that the food offered is of superior quality
• Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
• Maintain excellent relationships with guests, clients, and other departments within the community
• Promote the professional growth and development of the entire team
• Foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the dining service department with the facility plan of operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of additional experience
• Minimum of five years of proven leadership expertise
• Two to four years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
• ServSafe® certification a plus
• Must be forward-thinking and proactive, representing the company

Pay

Salary: $85,500–$90,000
