Senior Director, New Program Development
About the role
The Senior Director, New Program Development leads the creation, launch, and scaling of new programs within the Modular Products business. This role drives product innovation, commercialization strategies, and long-term growth initiatives across mission critical, industrial, and distributed energy markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise-wide strategy for new program development within the Modular Products division.
- Identify, evaluate, and launch new markets and product offerings, including solutions for data centers, power systems, microgrids, and distributed energy resources.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, commercialization roadmaps, and long-range growth strategies for new programs and product lines.
- Design scalable operating models that integrate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations functions.
- Drive financial planning, capital investment strategies, and profitability initiatives to support sustainable growth.
- Oversee the execution of new program initiatives from concept through commercialization and scaling.
- Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, construction, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure successful delivery of modular and prefabricated solutions.
- Partner with workforce development organizations, trade programs, and suppliers to support regional and national expansion of modular products and services.
- Provide executive-level guidance on program direction, risks, and opportunities to Senior leadership.
- Regularly communicate program performance, strategic initiatives, and key milestones to executive stakeholders.
- Influence and align cross-functional teams around new program objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation across modular, industrialized, and manufacturing-based programs.
Requirements
- 18+ years of leadership experience in program development, operations, strategy, manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
- Proven experience launching and scaling industrialized, modular, prefabricated, or manufacturing-based programs.
- Strong background in strategic planning and enterprise-level growth strategy.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercialization, including market evaluation and go-to-market planning.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, financial planning, and capital investment strategy.
- Significant experience in operational leadership across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
- Project management experience in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes, particularly in modular and prefabricated contexts.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems relevant to modular products and industrial applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and financial operations.
Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience supporting mission critical infrastructure, industrial construction, modular manufacturing, or energy markets.
- Experience building new business lines or product portfolios from concept through commercialization.
- Executive-level leadership experience with a strong business development and growth-oriented mindset.
- Experience working with workforce development organizations, trade programs, and suppliers to support expansion initiatives.
- Ability to communicate complex strategies and performance metrics clearly to Senior leadership.
- Track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement in modular, prefabricated, or manufacturing-based programs.

The Senior Director, New Program Development operates in a strategic, cross-functional environment that spans engineering, manufacturing, construction, supply chain, and operations. The role focuses on modular products and industrialized, prefabricated solutions for mission critical, industrial, and distributed energy markets, including data centers, power systems, microgrids, and distributed energy resources.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $190,000.00 - $250,000.00/yr. Benefits include family formation benefits, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, transgender inclusive benefits, commuter benefits, pet insurance, and "Building Good" paid community service time.
