What You'll Do

The Senior Director for Information Technology (IT) is responsible for providing strategic leadership, supervision, and technical direction for IT Enterprise Applications, IT Infrastructure, IT Business Operations, and IT Service Management within Information Technology.

Ensures alignment with organizational goals, policies, and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) mission for Pantex.

Establishes organizational procedures, policies, and strategy.

Manages and ensures all budget targets, schedules, staffing, and performance standards are met across all areas.

Works enterprise-level issues to assist with strategic plans and initiatives, partnering with senior management and external stakeholders to achieve enterprise-level goals.

Works closely with Cyber Security to ensure controls are in place for the protection of IT assets.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 15 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory/management experience.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Advanced Degree in information technology, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of various IT disciplines and enterprise-wide teams within the Nuclear Security Enterprise.
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise products and platforms, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles, awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement (ADKAR) communication, software development processes and methodologies, Agile principles, and SCRUM processes.
  • Strong familiarity with Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Cyber Security program and requirements, and specific knowledge of Federal cyber security and risk management requirements with an emphasis on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (i.e., 800-53).
  • Experience managing services in a classified or highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL and Service Management processes (e.g., incident, problem, change management) and how to integrate them to improve service delivery.
