Senior Director, Indirect Procurement

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field OR Master’s degree in a related field
• 7+ years of leadership experience in senior procurement roles within a global organization, with demonstrated success in team development and transformation
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Procurement
• Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior leaders in complex, matrixed environments to deliver measurable business outcomes
• Polished communicator with experience developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
• Highly collaborative and relationship-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted internal partnerships
• Expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and building collaborative supplier relationships
• Proficiency in data analytics and procurement technologies, including Power BI, Oracle, and Excel
• Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of financial statements and business performance drivers

Nice to Haves

• Advanced certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management [CPSM], Certified Supply Chain Professional [CSCP])
• Experience using or implementing source-to-pay technologies, including e-sourcing, Oracle, Coupa, contract lifecycle management tools, or spend analytics
• Proven success leading initiatives in sustainability, supplier diversity, or supplier risk management

Pay Range

The salary range for this role in the USA is $181, 000 - $289, 100. Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
