The Sr. Director, Human Resources partners closely with the CHRO to shape and execute enterprise HR strategy across a complex, multi-entity organization, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This role serves as a senior HR leader and trusted advisor to executives, driving organizational effectiveness, talent strategies, workforce planning, and consistent execution of HR priorities while addressing operational and employee-related challenges.

Responsibilities
- Partner with the CHRO to help shape, prioritize, and execute HR strategy across a complex, multi-entity organization.
- Serve as a senior HR leader responsible for driving consistent execution of HR priorities across multiple companies and business units, ensuring alignment to overall business goals while adapting to operational needs.
- Act as a business partner to executive and senior leaders, providing guidance and practical solutions on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent strategies, and employee-related matters.
- Support the design and execution of key HR initiatives that impact business performance, including organizational structure, leadership capability, employee engagement, and workforce productivity.
- Operate as a hands-on problem solver—identifying issues, assessing risk, and working through solutions with leaders while ensuring resolution and forward progress.
- Oversee core HR functions across the organization, including:
- Employee relations and investigations
- Talent management and development
- Organizational design and workforce planning
- Compensation and benefits partnership
- Compliance, policies, and risk management
- Partner closely with Legal and Compliance on employee relations matters, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation, ensuring consistent and appropriate application of policies and practices.
- Lead and develop an HR team across multiple locations and functions, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and ensuring effective execution of HR support.
- Support and, over time, lead complex and sensitive employee relations issues, ensuring fair, consistent, and well-documented outcomes.
- Drive consistency in HR processes, documentation, and decision-making to reduce risk and improve overall effectiveness.
- Monitor key HR metrics and trends, using data to identify risk, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support organizational change efforts, including restructuring, integration, and growth initiatives, helping leaders navigate impact and execute effectively.
- Builds credibility with leaders by being responsive, practical, and reliable in execution—ensuring HR is a trusted and effective partner to the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience supporting multiple business units, functions, or locations
- Experience leading or supporting HR teams, with the ability to coach and develop others
- Experience working in diverse operational environments, including distributed and site-based teams, frontline/hourly workforces, production settings, and both field and office-based teams
- Strong experience in employee relations, including handling investigations and complex employee matters
- Working knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
- Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders and provide practical, business-focused HR support
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex issues and provide clear guidance
- Proficiency with HR systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
