Senior Director, Hardware

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Hardware to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead global hardware engineering efforts across architecture, design, and product execution for complex hardware solutions. The position partners closely with software, product, and executive leaders to shape hardware strategy, support new product introductions, and drive outcomes that impact revenue, cost, reliability, and quality. It is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for guiding cross-functional decisions and managing technical trade-offs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep hardware development expertise, people leadership experience, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the design and development of a global hardware engineering team Collaborate hands-on with software and product leaders on hardware architecture definition Drive multi-disciplinary functions across hardware development Evaluate trade-offs in design for manufacturing, reliability, and quality Bring knowledge of high-speed network interfaces and modern CPU subsystems to technical decisions Provide executive leadership with performance updates, risk management, and priority setting Advocate for career planning and employee development within the hardware organization Qualifications BS degree in EE or CE 15+ years of technical experience 10+ years in technical and people leadership roles Proven experience designing hardware products, particularly with architecture and design tools Track record of supporting new product introductions and influencing cross-functional decisions Experience in hardware development under both internal and JDM/ODM models Ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and external partners Experience building and leading high-performing teams Benefits Opportunity to shape hardware product strategy and roadmap Direct impact on revenue and cost structure Collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional teams Lead high-performing teams in a dynamic environment Scope for career growth and development in a technical leadership role Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
