Senior Director Government Programs

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Government Programs to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This leader will oversee government program delivery across complex healthcare contracts, with responsibility for operational execution, client performance, and risk management. The role will guide cross-functional teams, shape strategic objectives for federal and state programs, and help ensure strong financial and operational outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in healthcare insurance, payment integrity, and government contracting, along with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $154,000 – $196,000 annually Responsibilities Manage operational staff supporting government contract delivery Oversee multiple complex program tasks and initiatives Plan, budget, and manage government contracts with P&L oversight Serve as the primary client interface for contract performance and risk management Provide training and mentoring for contract and operational staff Develop strategic business objectives for the federal and/or state program department Build strong internal and external relationships to drive results Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or a healthcare-related master’s degree preferred 10+ years of account management experience in healthcare insurance; Medicaid and Medicare experience desired 5+ years of experience in government program integrity or payment integrity 5+ years of direct staff management experience 5+ years of project management experience Knowledge of federal and state government healthcare contracting Exceptional client management and business development skills Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage Disability and life insurance 401(k) savings plans Paid family leave 9 paid holidays per year 17–27 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year based on service length Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
