About the role
As a key member of the Commercial Team, the Global Account Management Senior Director will be responsible for customer growth and retention. This includes developing and strengthening customer relationships, defining and developing the strategic customer account strategy, and driving a unified customer strategy across Benchmark globally for Benchmark’s strategic and growth customers. The Senior Director of Global Account Management will serve as Benchmark’s point of contact for customer satisfaction, customer health, financial performance, voice of the customer (VOC), and customer escalation as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own customer executive relationships as well as deep multi-level and multi-functional relationships at customer locations.
- Understand key customer stakeholders and influencers and develop strategies to ensure effective relationships are in place for the partnership.
- Determine key stakeholders and influencers for customer account sustainment and growth.
- Orchestrate and develop customer account strategy to include strategic and technology roadmaps by working with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure business growth and alignment with technology roadmaps, delivering on overall account objectives and key customer initiatives.
- Serve as the customer advocate and VOC on a strategic level to the internal organization, acting as an escalation point, providing customer perception, striving toward customer satisfaction, problem resolution, and improving the overall health of the customer relationship.
- Understand the customer’s business model and translate customer roadmaps to Benchmark strategies.
- Coordinate with sector leadership, site leadership globally, and corporate legal on the administration and negotiation process for contracts with customers, including Supply Agreements, Amendments/Addendums, and NDAs.
- Monitor sector/customer P&L targets and ensure customer contract terms are met.
- Participate in site-level Customer Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Orchestrate Executive Business Reviews.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of direct experience.
- 8+ years minimum leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, or business (required); MBA (preferred).
Skills
- Solid experience as a Strategic Account Manager or Global Account Manager (strongly preferred).
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated solid financial acumen.
- Documented track record of success and overachievement.
- Previous experience as a manager of a team or geographic area.
- Excellent communication and professional demeanor, working alongside business executives, both internally and externally.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (Shift 1).
Physical location: Tempe, AZ (Headquarters).
