About The Role As the Senior Director of FP&A, you will report to the CFO and serve as a key financial thought partner to Kikoff's leadership team as the company continues its significant and profitable growth. You will own the company's financial planning, forecasting, and analysis functions, translating complex business dynamics into actionable financial insight that drives strategic decision-making. You will work closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders to build the financial infrastructure, analytical frameworks, and planning processes that a late-stage fintech company demands. The ideal candidate combines rigorous financial analysis with strong business instincts, an AI-first mindset, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence. The Senior Director of FP&A will initially manage a team of 3–4, with the opportunity to grow the function as Kikoff's business continues to scale. This role is based in our San Francisco office (in office three days a week). What You Will Do Lead a team that oversees all aspects of FP&A at KikoffOwn Kikoff's annual operating budget, quarterly plans, weekly and daily forecasts, and long-range financial model, ensuring they reflect business realities and support strategic decision-makingPrepare and present executive and board-level reporting packages, including the monthly financial package, board decks, KPI dashboards, and forward-looking commentaryBuild, develop, and grow a high-performing FP&A team, setting a high bar for analytical rigor, business judgment, communication, and cross-functional collaborationChampion the use of AI across FP&A workflows to automate routine work and speed up analysisServe as a trusted financial partner to business leaders across marketing, product, engineering, risk, and operations — translating financial data into clear guidance and actionable recommendationsPartner with the Corporate Controller and Accounting team to ensure alignment between financial reporting and operational forecastsHelp define the company’s key metrics and drive alignment and adoption in close partnership with our Data teamBuild and maintain financial models that capture unit economics, customer acquisition and retention, cohort dynamics, and revenue drivers specific to Kikoff's businessesLead scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and capital allocation decisionsOwn the selection and development of Kikoff's planning systems and financial infrastructure, driving adoption of best-in-class tools and processesSupport fundraising, investor relations, and M&A processes as needed, including preparation of investor materials and financial due diligence About You 15+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, or a related financial discipline, with significant operating experience at a high-growth companyBackground at a late-stage or public fintech, e-commerce, marketplace, or internet company with high transaction volumes preferredDemonstrated track record of financial leadership at a late-stage private or newly public company strongly valuedAI-first mindset with a track record of driving cross-functional adoption of AI tools in financial analysis and planning workflowsExperience with modern planning systems: Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or comparable tools; ability to own the roadmap and optimization of Kikoff's planning infrastructureDemonstrated ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear, compelling narratives for executive and board audiencesExpert financial modeler with deep experience building driver-based models that capture unit economics, cohort behavior, and multi-product revenue dynamicsComfortable operating as a player-coach - willing to roll up your sleeves on detailed analysis and models while managing and developing a growing teamStrong business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and a track record of building credibility and trust with senior cross-functional stakeholders Benefits 🏥 Medical, dental, vision — Kikoff covers the full cost for employees, 50% for dependents 📈 Meaningful equity in the form of RSU's 🏝️ 20 days of paid time off per year — we encourage taking real time away to recharge and do your best work 💵 401(k) plan with an employer match to help you invest in your future 💰 Competitive pay based on experience consisting of base + equity + benefits Visa sponsorship available: Kikoff is willing to provide sponsorship for H1-B visas and U.S. green cards for exceptional talent.
