About the role

The Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will play a key role on the Finance team, driving strategic decisions through insightful financial planning, reporting, and business analytics. This position will lead the FP&A function at Trace3 and partner closely with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop the annual budget across all departments, resulting in annual consolidated company and business level targets.
  • Prepare material for monthly leadership reviews and quarterly Board and lender meetings; provide direct support to the CEO and CFO.
  • Support strategic initiatives with ad hoc modeling requiring in-depth understanding of the Company business, strong business acumen, and creation of complex financial models.
  • Lead team in development of monthly P&L variance analysis, data-driven analytics of key leading indicators, and preparation of executive commentary.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure a timely and accurate financial month-end close for consolidated and line of business results.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to provide financial insights, support business initiatives, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and business leads, providing insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support reporting for, and integration of, merger and acquisition activity.
  • Manage a team of FP&A professionals, including analysts and managers, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related major.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in financial analysis or accounting, with at least 5 years of experience leading a high-performing team.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a proven ability to connect data analysis with business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build a high-performing team and provide clear leadership in a rapidly changing and largely remote environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment.
  • Ability to approach internal and external requests with a proactive and consultative outlook; commitment to listen to and understand business partners’ needs.
  • Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment.

Pay

Estimated pay range: $225,000 USD - $276,000 USD. Actual salary will be based on factors including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, certification, and business needs. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions.
