About the Role

The Senior Director, Finance, will report to the Business Unit VP Finance and work in collaboration with HVACR Americas leadership and Enterprise Finance teams. This key Finance leadership role will serve as a business partner, providing insights for decision-making and leading planning activities. This highly analytical role requires strategic thinking and business knowledge to provide hands-on management and lead the FP&A organization to its next level of maturity. The candidate must have a broad range of experience, strong business acumen, be detail-oriented, change-agile, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as a business partner to monitor business performance and plan financial strategies.
  • Lead annual budgeting and long-term planning processes.
  • Provide business insights through segment, customer, and product profitability analysis for decision-making to achieve profitable growth.
  • Manage cost and investment in annual budget and long-range plan, ensuring alignment to strategic initiatives.
  • Direct the team in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Provide variance analysis of current financial performance to historical results and Annual Operating Plan, identifying risks and opportunities to plan.
  • Develop standard policies and methods to collect and analyze financial data, ensuring accurate and consistent financial reporting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in a relevant financial leadership position with a proven track record of leadership with a commitment to excellence for planning and analysis in a global manufacturing organization.
  • 5 or more years of people management experience with a demonstrated ability to build and develop teams.
  • Experience as a partner and leader in both the finance and business organizations; someone who can drive change, promote teamwork, and collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a similar-sized manufacturing organization ($1 billion in revenues).
  • High degree of integrity and transparency.
  • Proven problem-solving skills; hands-on, results-oriented, and deadline-conscious.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team, building and sustaining excellent working relationships at multiple levels within business and enterprise organizations.
  • Confident and collaborative leadership approach, assertive in driving finance objectives.
  • Creates urgency and excitement to continue improving processes and results.
  • Translates vision into practical, actionable, and quantifiable plans and executes flawlessly in a safe manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s level degree.
  • CPA certification.

Our facility is located in Sidney, OH, conveniently within driving distance to several larger cities such as Dayton, Troy, and Columbus. The area offers a generally low cost of living, excellent school systems, and low crime rates, creating a family-friendly environment. Sidney is home to growing communities with restaurants, festivals, shopping, and arts scenes that make it an exciting place to live and work.

The newly renovated Sidney campus includes 1 million square feet of manufacturing floor space and an additional 120,000 square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location serves as the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Approximately 1,600 employees work in Sidney, supporting a multitude of business functions, with many opportunities for advancement within the location.

Schedule

This role is hybrid-eligible with the requirement to be in the office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration-first mindset, adjusting hybrid days based on business needs. You will work with your team and leader to determine when to be in the office to drive meaningful connections and best serve customers.
