About the Role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Enterprise Risk Management to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and evolution of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management program
  • Strengthen enterprise risk governance components like risk appetite and taxonomy
  • Drive alignment of risk management practices across various business units
  • Oversee and mature key enterprise risk programs like Operational Risk and Risk Governance
  • Enhance risk analytics and reporting for leadership and governance forums
  • Act as a strategic advisor, assessing risks tied to new products and initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to embed a risk-aware approach in decision-making

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or technology environments focusing on risk management, audit, or compliance
  • Proven track record in leading and maturing enterprise risk frameworks in dynamic, high-growth environments
  • Strong strategic mindset and business judgment, effectively connecting risk management to business goals
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and foster alignment across diverse functions without direct authority
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Preferred familiarity with Product, Engineering, and data-driven teams

Pay

$225,000 – $295,000 annually
