Your Impact

As Axon's Senior Director, Business Technology (IT CRM), you'll lead one of the most important technology platforms in the company. Salesforce is the backbone of how Axon sells, quotes, bills, and serves customers — spanning Sales Cloud, CPQ, Billing, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce, and deep integrations across our business technology ecosystem.

You'll help guide Axon's end-to-end Quote-to-Cash transformation — modernizing how the business moves from opportunity to quote to order to revenue, and unlocking the velocity and accuracy the next phase of Axon's growth depends on. You'll also set the strategy for how AI is integrated into the platform to make sellers, agents, and operations teams dramatically more productive.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the multi-year strategy and roadmap for Axon's Salesforce platform across Sales Cloud, CPQ / Revenue Cloud, Billing, Experience Cloud, and connected enterprise systems
  • Lead Axon's Quote-to-Cash transformation — modernizing the end-to-end flow from opportunity to quote to order to revenue, and driving measurable improvement in velocity and accuracy
  • Set the strategy for AI on the Salesforce platform — Agentforce, Einstein, and embedded LLM-powered workflows and custom applications that make sellers, agents, and operations teams meaningfully more productive
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, governance, security posture, and DevOps maturity across the Salesforce footprint
  • Lead and grow a team of managers and individual contributors — architects, developers, admins, and business analysts — including hiring, coaching, performance management, and org design
  • Partner with executive stakeholders across GTM, Finance, and Operations to translate business priorities into a roadmap to drive measurable outcomes
  • Manage the platform budget, vendor relationships, SI partnerships, and license strategy — including RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiation, and total cost of ownership
  • Own the relationship with Salesforce as a vendor — influencing product roadmaps, navigating contract cycles, and managing escalations
  • Define the metrics and dashboards that track platform health, delivery performance, and business outcomes
  • Represent Salesforce in executive forums, steering committees, and cross-functional planning cycles
  • Build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and customer obsession within the team

What You Bring

  • 12+ years in enterprise technology, with 5+ years leading Salesforce platform teams at the Director level or above
  • Demonstrated experience scaling Salesforce orgs in high-growth B2B environments — with CPQ and Billing in production
  • Track record of leading Quote-to-Cash transformations end to end — opportunity through revenue recognition
  • Experience applying AI on the Salesforce platform — Agentforce, Einstein, or comparable LLM-powered capabilities — to drive real productivity gains
  • Track record of building and managing teams of architects, developers, admins, and analysts, including managing managers
  • Deep technical fluency in Salesforce architecture — able to challenge and direct senior architects credibly
  • Broad technical fluency beyond Salesforce — comfortable making informed architectural decisions across integration patterns, data platforms, identity, and adjacent SaaS systems
  • Strong grasp of modern enterprise architecture concepts — APIs and event-driven integration, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), data warehousing, and security and identity at scale
  • Proven success partnering with C-suite and SVP-level GTM and Finance stakeholders
  • Experience owning multi-million-dollar platform budgets, vendor negotiations, and SI partner relationships
  • Discipline around cost/benefit analysis, RFP/RFI processes, and translating business needs into sustainable technology decisions
  • Strong delivery and operating rigor — roadmap, OKRs, release governance, incident management
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
