For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Drug Product CMC to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will guide drug product development strategy across nonclinical and clinical programs, with a strong focus on formulation, stability, and dosage form development for small molecules. The role will partner closely with external development partners and internal cross-functional teams to advance supply readiness and support key program milestones. It is well suited for a senior pharmaceutical sciences leader who can balance technical depth, project execution, and regulatory-minded decision-making in a highly collaborative environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $153,000 – $290,400 annually Responsibilities Manage CROs and CDMOs to ensure effective execution of formulation studies Develop nonclinical formulations for diverse delivery methods, including oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous Oversee formulation stability and compatibility studies Support clinical formulation development when necessary Author and review development protocols and reports Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide guidance on formulation and stability Coordinate supply shipments for nonclinical and clinical requirements Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline preferred 10+ years of drug product and formulation development experience for small molecules in nonclinical and clinical settings Expertise in developing poorly soluble compounds (BCS Class II/IV) and formulation strategies for various delivery methods Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sciences and principles of dosage form development Experience managing CROs, CDMOs, and a solid grasp of cGMP requirements Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills Benefits Eligibility for a company bonus based on performance Participation in company-sponsored 401(k) and pension plans Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits Flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care Life insurance and death benefits provided Access to wellness benefits, including employee assistance and fitness programs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
