Senior Director, Data Engineering

About the role

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a consumer-facing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for a multi-faceted Data Engineering organization
• Champion the long-term technology vision and data strategy
• Mentor senior data engineering leaders for excellence and innovation
• Drive execution of strategic data engineering initiatives
• Collaborate with C-level executives for alignment on strategies
• Oversee workforce planning and talent acquisition for engineering teams
• Navigate technological shifts and guide the organization through change

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering
• 7+ years in executive leadership roles
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Proven track record of executing enterprise-wide data strategies
• Exceptional leadership capabilities in complex environments
• Outstanding business acumen and financial literacy
• Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous data situations
