About the role
The Senior Director, Capital Markets leads the financing of data center development projects, analyzing and recommending structuring alternatives, spearheading negotiations, managing financial models, and collaborating with executive leadership, lenders, advisors, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial strategy, structuring, and execution of data center development project and structured finance transactions.
- Build, manage, and expand relationships with lenders, financing advisors, and other institutional capital providers.
- Drive financing processes end-to-end, including identification, evaluation, and recommendation of project and structured financing alternatives, lender/advisor outreach, preparation of marketing and due diligence materials, management of third-party diligence processes, lead commercial/legal negotiation, and transaction structuring/execution.
- Maintain trackers with tasks, responsibilities, and due dates.
- Establish programmatic platforms to reduce all-in cost and cycle time.
- Negotiate term sheets, agreements, and other financing documentation to achieve optimal terms, working closely with advisors and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, tax, accounting, FP&A, and fund management to ensure alignment and successful transaction execution.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and monitoring of debt capital markets trends, investor appetite, peer benchmarking, and emerging structures to inform capital strategy.
- Maintain internal database of market transactions.
- Assist the Senior Vice President – Treasury with additional ad hoc financial analysis and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other related discipline.
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented self-starter with 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in project and structured finance with a significant focus on data center or critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing large-scale, complex data center project and structured financing transactions (multi-hundred million to multi-billion dollar projects).
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills, with proficiency in advanced tools and financial systems.
- Deep understanding of data center business models, operations, and market dynamics, including power infrastructure, leasing, and technology.
- Experience with joint ventures, funds, and strategic partnerships in infrastructure or technology sectors a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices impacting data center development and financing.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills at the executive level.
- Demonstrated leadership, facilitation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Pay
$175,000 to $225,000 annually.
