This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Media environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual global close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements across all entities and currencies
- Own technical accounting research and application for complex areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation, business combinations, and foreign currency translation
- Manage and develop a team of accounting managers, senior accountants, and staff accountants, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development
- Oversee consolidation of international subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations, transfer pricing coordination, and multi-currency reporting
- Serve as a key point of contact for the external audit process, managing the relationship with the independent audit firm
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the record-to-report cycle, evaluating and implementing systems and tools
- Support ad hoc projects including M&A due diligence and integration, treasury and banking relationships, and financial due diligence requests from customers, lenders, or partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and industry experience; SaaS or software industry experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a multi-entity, international organization with exposure to multi-currency consolidation and foreign subsidiary reporting
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with hands-on experience applying ASC 606 and other complex technical accounting standards
- Proven people-management experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing accounting teams
- Strong systems aptitude; experience with modern ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, Oracle) and close management or automation tools is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting matters for non-accounting stakeholders and senior leadership
Pay
$160,000 – $190,000 annually
