Senior Director, AI Delivery & Operations

About the Role

Lead the development, scaling, and management of end-to-end AI engineering platforms within a digital research environment. This leadership role involves overseeing AI engineering delivery, platform architecture, automation, and operational workflows to embed AI capabilities into business processes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to deliver scalable AI applications, promote AI-assisted development practices, and ensure seamless integration into digital workflows.
• Build and scale automation frameworks, APIs, and orchestration systems supporting AI-driven decisions and workflows (AI-Native Execution Layer).
• Manage AI model lifecycle, deployment, monitoring, and governance ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance (MLOps & Lifecycle Management).
• Develop partner ecosystems, drive onshore/offshore delivery, and expand internal AI engineering capabilities.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams, foster a culture of innovation, and define future talent needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in computer science, AI/ML, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in software and platform engineering, AI/ML system delivery, and scalable architecture design.
• Proven success in transforming engineering practices with AI-assisted, automation-first approaches.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills across technical and business functions.
• Knowledge of AI lifecycle, governance, security, and compliance, especially in regulated environments.
