Senior Director, AI & Data Science Solutions

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive AI and Gen AI strategy to align with business and scientific goals
• Serve as a trusted advisor on AI and data technology opportunities and risks
• Deliver cutting-edge AI solutions and data strategies to enhance decision-making
• Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies for scalability and compliance
• Lead the design and development of AI solutions for complex R&D data
• Oversee implementation and management of AI use cases from ideation to deployment
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate R&D challenges into actionable AI projects

Qualifications

• 12+ years of leadership experience in data science, AI/ML, and Gen AI, including 5 years in senior roles
• Proven expertise in architecting large-scale data and AI solutions in regulated environments
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors, with a focus on R&D
• Track record of deploying Gen AI and large language model applications in production
• Strong problem-solving skills using technology responsibly
• Deep knowledge of real-world data assets and their application for scientific evidence
• Demonstrated team leadership and project management skills

Pay

$230,720 – $345,000 annually
