Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer - TS/SCI

Parsons Company, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Sr. Digital Signal Processing Engineer (DSP) positions at our headquarters in Herndon & Chantilly, VA. We are currently searching for full-time Sr. Level Digital Signal Processing Engineers that will design, develop and maintain complex systems. We meet customer and mission needs by leveraging cutting-edge research and technology, using small teams to rapidly get capabilities into the hands of the warfighter. Our technical efforts focus on signal processing, image processing, full-motion video, mission planning, and data analytics.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for [specific application, e.g., audio, communications, radar, etc.]
- Implement DSP algorithms in software and/or hardware using programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, Python, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP solutions into larger systems and ensure compatibility
- Conduct simulations, testing, and debugging of DSP algorithms to validate functionality and performance
- Stay updated on advancements in DSP technologies and apply innovative techniques to sole novel challenges
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal processing, hardware/software integration, and system performance
- Support product development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, and deployment of DSP-based systems
Required Skills
- Must have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline (2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).
- Master's degree may be considered equivalent to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Ts/Sci is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software implementation of algorithms related to digital wireless communications, signal processing, signal geolocation, estimation theory, image processing, control systems, statistics, machine learning and/or pattern recognition.
- Exposure with one or more tools/frameworks: X-Midas, GNU Radio, MATLAB
- Minimum of 5 years within one or more programming languages: C/C++, Python
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Linux
- Code management with Git or other common tools
Desired Skills
- Experience with CUDA or other parallel processing and high performance computing frameworks
- Experience working with ARM or other non-x86 embedded platform
- Experience using software-defined radio hardware (USRP or similar) for testing and/or prototyping
- Application of machine learning techniques to signal processing, communications, and signal localization challenges
Security Clearance Requirement
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
Pay
Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
