Responsibilities

  • Develop communication materials that align with organizational goals and anticipate challenges to support effective decision-making and engagement.

  • Evaluate emerging opportunities by analyzing stakeholder needs, organizational priorities, and external trends to inform communication initiatives and maximize impact.

  • Create an organization-wide digital media strategy for various JMA campaigns and manage primary digital channels like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.

  • Plan and execute campaigns across social media, websites, email, and paid advertising platforms, understanding target audiences, content positioning, and brand messaging.

  • Support campaign teams with digital campaign plans and communications strategies, assist in developing digital materials and tactics, and coordinate with organizers and researchers to ensure digital content reflects campaign strategy and worker-centered storytelling.

  • Use analytical tools to track engagement, traffic, conversions, and ROI related to advertisements and geofencing, providing monthly analytics reporting and performance tracking of social media channels.

  • Collaborate across departments to support organizational communications goals, contribute to digital communications needs for events, fundraising, coalition work, and organizational initiatives, and participate in staff meeting planning and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working on digital strategies for campaigns.

  • Experience with social media management tools, content management systems, and advertising platforms.

  • Familiarity with JMA platforms, including WordPress, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google Ads.

  • Ability to recommend new platforms based on needs.

  • A deep commitment to social and economic justice and strengthening the rights of working people.

  • Ability to travel up to 4 times a year for annual staff retreats and to learn more about campaigns.

  • Clear communication over the phone with reasonable accommodations.

Skills

  • Analytics and reporting experience, including the ability to measure performance using tools such as Google Analytics and interpret data to identify trends and improve campaign performance.

  • Creating and driving a content calendar, understanding what content works best on different platforms and which audiences are on which platforms.

  • Familiarity with social media management tools, content management systems, and advertising platforms.

  • Recommendation of new platforms based on needs.
