Senior Diesel Technician

About the role

Make repair decisions that prioritize safety as a Senior Diesel Technician in Boaz, AL. Perform all tractor estimations, diagnoses and corrections on company tractors. Complete routine rebuilds and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of preventive maintenance, annual vehicle inspections, component replacements and other repairs on tractors
• Complete inspections, diagnosis and work estimations
• Communicate status updates with internal customers

Skills and qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field
• Minimum of two years of diesel technician experience
• Knowledge of diagnostic software, Detroit engines and after treatment repairs
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience
• Ability to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to provide own tools within 30 days of hire

Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked. Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9 p.m. Friday – 5 a.m. Monday).
