About the role
This role supports the development and deployment of end-to-end software for military aircraft platforms. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will play a vital part in enabling secure, resilient, and scalable software delivery pipelines that directly support U.S. military aviation and national defense initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and test software products using a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field.
- Collaborate with other software engineers, program development, and deployment teams.
- Work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure secure DevSecOps pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments.
- Manage containerization and Kubernetes (on-prem, disconnected operations).
- Manage build environment tools (make & CMake).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
- Work within Linux (RHEL, Yocto, Buildroot) environments.
- Use Bitbucket and GitLab for version control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, security, and IT.
- Communicate and document complex technical designs effectively.
- Travel up to 10% as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
- 5+ years of DevSecOps experience
- Python & YAML experience
- Experience with secure DevSecOps pipelines for safety-critical, air-gapped environments
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (on-prem, disconnected operations)
- Experience with build environment tools (make & CMake)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm)
- Linux (RHEL, Yocto, Buildroot) experience
- Experience with Bitbucket and GitLab
- Experience working in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Experience with cross-functional leadership across engineering, security, and IT teams
