Senior DevSecOps Engineer
About the role
The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the Air Proprietary 2 Mission Systems team in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.
Responsibilities

Leads the development and management of the software development environment roadmap and vision

Leads the deployment and configuration of technologies and tools used in software development, including build servers, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks

Leads the establishment, configuration, and maintenance of MS software development environments across multiple networks - which includes any tools required for developing, building, and releasing software

Manages and maintains cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures

Establishes and maintains development and production environments

Ensures compliance and policy enforcement for applicable design practices and industry standards

Creates and maintains Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to simplify infrastructure administration and software deployment

Mentors and advises junior teammates and development teams on best practices in DevSecOps, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning

Collaborates with the Mission Systems solution team, the Digital Engineering Environment team and the Boeing Software Factory Enterprise team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years of experience working with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and/or DevOps teams
- 5+ years of experience in automated provisioning and configuring of software-defined infrastructure and designing for continuous deployment and continuous operations
- 3+ years of experience with automation and/or CI/CD techniques and design patterns
- 3+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD environments
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 9+ years of related work experience
- 13+ years of related, relevant experience
- 17+ years of related, relevant experience
- 7+ years of experience with C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Experience with Agile software development and related processes
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the area
- DevSecOps knowledge
- Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and regulations, ability to work across these areas to formulate solutions
- Experience with secure software development environments at various levels of security
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification
