About the role

We have an immediate need for a versatile Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and integrating developer tools and enterprise services—including GitLab, Artifactory, MinIO, GitLab Runner, Jupyter, and SPARTANDESK (Linux virtual desktop). Working closely with cross-functional software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers, you will deliver seamless integrations and automated tooling that streamline workflows and drive engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience.
  • OR Master’s Degree in a related field, plus 3+ years of specialized analytical experience.
  • OR High School Diploma / GED, plus 7+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.

Skills

  • Software Development: Recent software development experience using Java.
  • Plugin / SDK Development: Experience developing extensions or custom integrations using an IDE / SDK (e.g., Atlassian Plugin SDK).
  • Scripting & Automation: Experience writing Bash, Python, and PHP scripts to automate administrative tasks and operational workflows.
  • Linux Environment & Tools: Hands-on experience using the Linux CLI, standard Linux utilities, and operating system configurations.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Practical experience with IaC principles and automation frameworks like Ansible.
  • CI/CD & Containerization: Practical experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitLab CI) and containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and collaborative development.
  • Documentation: Proven experience authoring comprehensive technical documentation for system configurations and procedures.

Desired Skills

  • Mission Application Sustainment: Experience sustaining and troubleshooting mission applications deployed on enterprise Linux platforms.
  • Customer Interaction & Training: Experience interacting directly with external mission customers, providing technical guidance or user training.
  • Agile Tooling: Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence) for workflow management and collaboration.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this role is $178,000-$210,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
