About the role

In This Role, You Will:

  • Design and implement robust cloud native architectures on AWS that enhance availability resilience and scalability for complex enterprise applications in alignment with site reliability engineering principles.
  • Define and standardize SRE practices including error budgets, service level objectives, and operational readiness criteria to ensure measurable reliability improvements across critical services.
  • Create and maintain automated delivery pipelines using modern DevOps tooling to streamline software integration testing and deployment while reducing manual effort and deployment risk.
  • Establish observability strategies by defining logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting patterns that enable proactive detection of issues and faster mean time to recovery.
  • Collaborate with platform and application teams to design runbooks, playbooks, and operational workflows that simplify incident response and reduce operational toil for reliability engineers.
  • Architect secure DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning, policy checks, and compliance automation into continuous integration and delivery workflows for all AWS hosted workloads.
  • Partner with security and risk stakeholders to interpret compliance requirements and translate them into practical guardrails, controls, and patterns embedded into cloud platform designs.
  • Guide teams in adopting cost-efficient AWS architectures by analyzing usage patterns, recommending right-sized solutions, and promoting automation that optimizes infrastructure spend.
  • Coordinate with product and engineering teams to evaluate new services in AWS and emerging DevOps tools to determine their fit for platform roadmap and long-term reliability goals.
  • Drive root cause analysis for high-impact incidents by facilitating technical discussions, documenting findings, and defining corrective actions that prevent recurrence across similar services.
  • Prepare technical reference architectures, patterns, and best practice documentation that enable consistent adoption of SRE, DevOps, and DevSecOps capabilities across multiple programs.
  • Mentor engineering teams in reliability mindset, automation-first culture, and secure development practices to ensure sustainable ownership of platforms and services.
