Accountabilities
- Lead and contribute to initiatives focused on infrastructure security, system reliability, release processes, observability, cost optimization, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and cross-functional teams to address security challenges across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, applications, endpoints, AI workloads, and enterprise environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions while supporting compliance and security best practices.
- Improve cloud infrastructure architecture, operational processes, and automation workflows to increase scalability and resilience.
- Conduct security reviews of third-party vendors, services, and technology integrations.
- Enhance developer experiences by improving tools, workflows, automation capabilities, and engineering processes.
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment practices across development teams.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and metrics solutions to improve visibility and operational performance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and help ensure reliable production operations.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and recommending solutions that improve security, efficiency, and scalability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience implementing and managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments using Infrastructure as Code, with strong knowledge of security best practices.
- 3+ years of professional experience managing production workloads in containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience with web proxy technologies such as NGINX.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Python, Go, Ruby, or similar.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and cloud-based application environments.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, or similar platforms.
- Ability to independently solve complex technical challenges and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Strong ownership mindset with a commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and high-quality solutions.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance processes and security frameworks is a plus.
