Senior DevOps Engineer / Salt Lake City / AWS

About the Role

Our client is a rapidly growing technology company based in Salt Lake City seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their cloud infrastructure team. This full-time, hybrid position supports enterprise AWS environments using Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Linux, and modern CI/CD technologies. The role offers the opportunity to work on highly available cloud platforms that support applications across multiple business units. You will own infrastructure end-to-end, influence architecture decisions, implement new technologies, and mentor junior engineers as the team invests in automation, cloud-native technologies, and platform engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• 45% AWS Infrastructure
• 25% Kubernetes & Containerization
• 20% Terraform & Infrastructure as Code
• 10% CI/CD Automation

Daily responsibilities breakdown:

• 75% Hands-on engineering
• 5% Management duties
• 20% Team collaboration

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering experience
• Strong AWS experience
• Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Terraform
• Docker
• Linux Administration
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
• Python or Bash scripting
• Experience supporting production cloud environments
