Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure using AWS and modern DevOps practices
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure high availability
• Automate deployment pipelines and manage CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues
• Improve system security and auditability across environments
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance operations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, preferably at a high-growth startup
• Strong AWS experience, including services like EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and IAM
• Proficiency in scripting languages (ideally Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with debugging and optimization skills
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and own large initiatives
• Willingness to work in-person at the office 4-5 days a week

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $230,000 – $320,000 annually
