About the role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Developer to build and operate cloud and edge infrastructure powering robotics and warehouse automation systems. This is a senior individual-contributor role with leadership influence across platform engineering, ideal for engineers passionate about automation, systems programming, cloud technologies, and robotics innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure and self-hosted Kubernetes
- Develop internal tools and automation systems using Go
- Manage Kubernetes-based platforms for robotics and automation workloads
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud and edge deployments using ArgoCD GitOps
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible
- Own observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) across distributed systems
- Support hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem warehouse deployments)
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment workflows
- Collaborate closely with backend and frontend teams on platform needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in the following:
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong experience with CI/CD systems and automation
- Experience with Terraform, ArgoCD and Ansible
- Strong Linux systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, distributed engineering environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users and to global stakeholders across time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (especially AWS – Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
- Experience in robotics, warehouse automation, or industrial systems
- Experience with edge computing or IoT infrastructure
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud + on-prem deployments
- Experience with real-time or mission-critical systems
Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work extended hours as required
- Travel requirement: less than 5%
