Senior Development Officer
About the role
CJP is at the heart of Greater Boston's Jewish community, with a global reach, ranked by BBJ as Massachusetts’ largest non‑profit organization. As a philanthropic investor and mobilizer of people, resources, and skills, CJP makes Jewish life and learning accessible, invests in the care and well‑being of community members, and provides stability and growth to nonprofit organizations that underpin the community. The organization's greatest resource is its people — staff, volunteers, partners, and leaders who help make Greater Boston’s Jewish community a welcoming home. CJP is currently seeking a Senior Development Officer, Growth Philanthropy to join a dynamic team advancing the strategic direction of CJP’s resource development efforts. This role will develop and implement best practices to cultivate integrated philanthropic relationships focusing on the annual campaign, legacy giving, supplemental giving, and the donor‑advised fund program, managing a portfolio of approximately 100 donors and working closely with the AVP of Growth Philanthropy on identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high‑capacity major donors and prospects. CJP provides a unique opportunity to leverage your skills, talents, and experience to benefit the greater good while fostering professional growth. You will work in a dynamic environment with a diverse group of individuals who share your commitment and enthusiasm, making a difference for both Jews and non‑Jews in Greater Boston and worldwide.
