Senior Development Engineer

Role

The Senior Development Engineer will play a key role in driving technical excellence, delivering high-quality software solutions, and supporting the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Role Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and well-documented software systems and platforms.
• Establishing and promoting engineering standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines across development initiatives.
• Making informed architectural recommendations based on technical analysis, business goals, and long-term scalability considerations.
• Developing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and supporting critical systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Creating technical documentation to improve knowledge sharing, code traceability, and collaboration across teams.
• Developing and implementing manual testing strategies and automated test suites to reduce defects and improve software quality.
• Collaborating with product managers, data teams, business stakeholders, project managers, and engineers to deliver solutions effectively.
• Participating in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
• Supporting the growth of other engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
• Researching and adopting new technologies and methodologies to enhance development capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with strong expertise in backend development, cloud technologies, and modern software architecture.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in C#, .NET, Entity Framework, SQL, Redis, SignalR, and distributed event-driven architectures.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and microservices architectures.
• 3+ years of experience implementing Domain Driven Design (DDD) methodologies.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Advanced proficiency with Git and experience managing code in collaborative, multi-developer environments.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Microsoft DevOps tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a flexible, transparent, and accountable work environment.

Additional Experience

• Additional experience with machine learning or AI technologies.
• Strong mathematical foundations.
• Frontend development skills using React or Next.js.
