About the role

The Developer Technology Team at NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Developer Technology Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence. This role involves researching and developing techniques to GPU-accelerate workloads in deep learning, machine learning, or other AI domains. The ideal candidate will collaborate with technical experts to analyze and optimize complex AI and high-performance computing (HPC) algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop techniques to GPU-accelerate workloads in deep learning, machine learning or other AI domains.
  • Work directly with other technical experts in their fields (industry and academia) to perform in-depth analysis and optimization of complex AI and HPC algorithms.
  • Publish and present discovered optimization techniques in developer blogs or relevant conferences to engage and educate the Developer community.
  • Influence the design of next-generation hardware architectures, software, and programming models in collaboration with research, hardware, system software, libraries, and tools teams at NVIDIA.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related computationally focused science degree (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience or research.
  • Programming fluency in C/C++ with a deep understanding of algorithms and software development.
  • Hands-on experience with parallel programming techniques such as CUDA, OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, pthreads, etc.
  • In-depth expertise with CPU and GPU architecture fundamentals.
  • Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving and prioritization.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in parallelization and performance optimization of Deep Learning models arising from Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Recommender Systems, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of linear algebra.

Benefits

NVIDIA offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $184,000 - $287,500 for Level 4 and $224,000 - $356,500 for Level 5, along with equity and benefits.

Schedule

This role is full-time and based in Santa Clara, California.

Pay

The base salary for this role is determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
