What You'll Do
- Manage application deployments using Helm charts and the Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure on AWS utilizing Terraform.
- Track the health, performance, and availability of infrastructure using observability and monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and resolve operational challenges contributing to defined service level objectives.
- Maintain supporting infrastructure and tooling to meet the needs of PracticeTek development teams.
- Participate in an on-call rotation

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Experience in running and operating production workloads in Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
- Experience running workloads on AWS and the common patterns used for cloud-native applications.
- Experience regularly interacting with internal and external customers, and a focus on resolving their requests with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to reason about large systems - how they work and can be operated on a large scale, edge cases, failure modes, and behaviors.
- Strong background with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, such as Terraform.
- Experience with database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and understanding of basic concepts in either Shell or Python.
- Drive to learn and urge to learn from the feedback provided by peers.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
